The mild semi-arid hill country climate is ideal providing escape from the hot Roswell desert heat and without the extreme freeze of the Alpine Mountain Retreat of nearby Ruidoso. The Hideout Ranch is scenic and pristine resembling the period when Billy the Kid patrolled these hills. This is partially fenced and is nestled among huge livestock grazing operations.
